Terry Young welcomes you to his M & A Site. It is a great pleasure for me to welcome you to my site.
When l started to work on my own site, l wanted to make something more than just a site about myself as an artist and a songwriter. The importance of having a web site for any kind of artist is indisputable, and the same counts for most companies operating within the art and entertainment field.
The Internet has changed everything, yet this is just the beginning. However, the Internet has also provided a lot of challenges to its users, especially for those of us not brought up with computers and the concept of cyberspace!
Apart from presenting myself and my music through this site, l want the site to be a gateway to the world of art; l want it to be a site to which art lovers from all over the world can surf and find exactly what they are looking for, in whatever field of art, in an easy, logical and user-friendly way.
The goal is thus to locate and present the best web sites on the net in most of the genres of art. By surfing on this site you will find excellent web services, presenting both the artists and their work. The site also provides a doorway to various businesses representing the art and entertainment field -- extremely useful for those of you who are artists yourselves, perhaps looking for business contacts in the industry.
Whether you are interested in music or painting, sculpture or literature, movies or photography, you will find some fine sites selected just for you.
Look, listen, read, purchase if you like, learn and enjoy. Take a virtual tour through the various worlds of art, both the ones in cyber space and the real museums and galleries. It's all here, presented in a way that is easy to understand and easy use to locate what you are looking for.
l've been composing and writing music myself since the age of twelve and
l've been married to the music and to the music industry since l was a young
man: l've got this business in my veins. While working in the industry
promoting other artists, I have been part of so many dreams, so many hopes
and pain, tears and struggles, but also so many happy moments; l have
learned that being an artist, a creative person who has no one but himself
and his talent as motive power, can be a long walk toward endlessness.
However, being part of the art business and life itself is about talents and
opportunities, and also about obligations. We can use it, or we can waste
it. It is not about fortune or luck. In one of my songs l sing “life is what
we make it babe,” and that is not a cliché. If you look at yourself in the
mirror and you don't like what you see, you and only you can change that --
no-one else! It all starts with a thought followed by a decision.

Yes, the world of art is a wonderful world to be in, even though probably no
other profession demands quite so much from a person as far as personal
ordeals are concerned. It is often like balancing on the edge, and not
everybody is able to step down on the correct side -- at least not at the
first attempt. But what would art be like if it were not driven forward by
all ingredients of life -- the good, the bad; the love, the broken heart;
the tragedies and the death; the miracles, the hopes; the stories and... the
people?
We just had a soft launch of the site. l hope you will like it and find it
useful. Don`t hesitate to mail me your comments to the service. Contact
information can be found through the contact menu.
Welcome to the world of art, and welcome to the Terry Young Music & Art Site.
